Vilda takes privacy seriously. Read on to learn how we store and process your personal data in accordance with GDPR.
1. What is personal data?
Personal data is any information that can be linked to an identifiable individual. This may include, for example, name, address, phone number, email address and IP address, or a combination of data points that makes it possible to identify a specific person.
2. How do we collect information and what do we use it for?
Most of the data we hold about you is data you provide directly — by submitting your contact information — or data generated through your use of our services, such as page views and device information. We also receive data from partners and other sources in some cases.
We use personal data primarily to fulfil agreements with you, and also to understand and improve our services, produce statistics, understand market trends, send emails and target advertisements.
Information is collected in the following ways:
Contact information for assignments.
When you register your contact details with us, you will be asked to provide personal data such as name, address, email and phone number. This information is stored so that we can follow up on current or future assignments.
3. How is information shared?
We share information about your use of our services internally within Vilda in order to manage our customer relationship with you.
Third-party companies
In certain cases, we share information with partners who need it to fulfil an agreement. This may include a bank, energy advisor, contractor or similar.
Other
If there is reason to suspect that a crime has been committed in connection with the use of Vilda's products or services, information may be disclosed to public authorities upon request.
We will not share, sell or otherwise transfer personal data in any way beyond what is described in this privacy policy.
4. Correction and deletion of personal data
It is important to us that the information we hold about you is accurate and up to date. If you discover an error, please contact us so that it can be corrected. You may also contact us if you wish to have your data deleted.
We will not retain personal data longer than is necessary to fulfil the purpose of the processing, or as required by law — for example under accounting and bookkeeping legislation.
Deleting cookies
You can choose whether to accept local data storage through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to specify whether you accept cookies from the websites you visit, from third parties associated with those sites, and whether you wish to be notified each time a new cookie is stored.
The exact steps depend on your device and browser. More information about cookies is available from the Norwegian Data Protection Authority.
5. Analytics tools
We use analytics tools to understand how our services are used — for example, measuring the number of visitors, which pages are viewed, and session duration.
Usage statistics are typically presented in aggregated form and do not contain information that can be directly linked to you as an identified individual.
PostHog: We use PostHog to improve the user experience on our website. PostHog collects anonymous usage data, including which pages you visit. It does not collect information submitted through contact forms or other personal details. PostHog is configured without cookies and processes data on European servers. Read PostHog's privacy policy here.
Facebook: We use cookies and similar technologies to display advertisements on and outside Facebook's services. You can adjust your ad preferences to control the types of advertisements you see. Read Facebook's privacy policy for more information. Some Facebook cookies may persist for several years — if you do not want this, you will need to delete them manually from your browser.
